In 2003, we began and ended our season on the southern coast of Turkey. The cruise took us up the coast of Turkey and we crossed to the mainland of Greece. August is hot in the Aegean, and the harsh meltemi wind doesn't keep vacationers from crowding the islands. In 2002, we stayed near Athens during August and found plenty of space to enjoy the summer in the protection of the Argo-Saronic Islands and the Peloponnesian peninsula. In 2003, we found shelter and wonderful places to visit in the Northern Sporades Islands and Evia.
